My Story
I’m Bri Woodson, the daughter of the Deep South, raised in Georgia, and shaped by both struggle and strength. I’m not a politician, I’m a problem solver. My life is proof that no setback is final and no story is too broken to be rewritten. After overcoming addiction and rebuilding my life from the ground up, I made a promise: to use my experience to open doors for others who’ve been counted out, overlooked, or underestimated. I know what it’s like to fight through hard seasons, to start over, and to turn pain into purpose. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others do the same, not through empty promises, but through real policy, practical support, and leadership that understands the struggle. For years, I’ve served my community, connecting people to resources, mentoring those on their own paths to recovery, and building programs that create second chances. My work has always been about impact, not image. Now, as a candidate for U.S. Congress in Georgia’s 12th District, I’m bringing that same resilience and real-world experience to Washington. My focus is simple:
-
Access to quality education
-
Fair-paying jobs and economic opportunity
-
Mental health and recovery resources
-
Safe, thriving neighborhoods

Bri's Background
Every chapter of Bri’s life has been about lifting others. With a foundation in mental health and community care, she’s worked across Georgia to ensure equity isn’t just an idea, it’s action.
She’s led statewide initiatives, built bridges between rural and urban communities, and continues to fight for voices often left unheard.
Key Leadership Roles:
-
Fight Against Fascism (GA Lead)
-
Black Caucus, Young Democrats of Georgia (Elected Liaison)
-
Rural Caucus, Young Democrats of Georgia (Secretary)
A Brighter Future

Together We Rise
My campaign is powered by everyday people, teachers, parents, small business owners, and neighbors, all working together to solve real problems and rebuild trust in leadership. We’re proving that your past doesn’t define your potential, your perseverance does.
I’m not running to fit in. I’m running to fix what’s broken. Because District 12 doesn’t need another politician, it needs a leader who’s lived it, learned from it, and leads with it.
